Marjoram festival

Once upon a time, in the town of Guarare, in the province of Los Santos, in Panama, a very
special festival was celebrated every year in honor of a traditional musical instrument called
the marjoram.

The marjoram, a type of five-string guitar, had a unique and magical sound that represented
the cultural identity of the people of Guarare. Legend said that marjoram had been given by
the ancestors of the Guarareños and was considered a priceless treasure.

The marjoram festival lasted three days and was full of music, dance, typical food and joy. The
entire town was enthusiastically preparing for this celebration, decorating the streets with
beautiful flowers and colorful decorations.

It was a time full of joy and typical music that filled the streets. Ana, an enthusiastic young
woman, dreamed of participating in the traditional dance competition.

With great effort, he rehearsed each step and movement of the dance in his small patio. The
day of the festival arrived and Ana appeared before the audience, dazzling everyone with her
grace and energy. The jury couldn’t resist and crowned her the queen of the Marjoram festival.

From that moment, Ana became an inspiration for all the young people of Guararé, who strove
to keep the Marjoram tradition alive.
