DIVISION I GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

General Conditions

The entire construction must be overseen directly by a properly registered a civil engineer or an architect.
The building must adhere to the standards of PD 957, the National Building Code, the Philippine Fire
Code, and the Philippine Electrical Code, as well as Bocaue, Bulacan's regional laws and ordinances.

The contractors shall conform to the following conditions:

A.The contractor must verify all dimensions and circumstances on the job site and notify
the Architect and Owner of inconsistencies between real circumstances and information
before continue with the work, as illustrated on the drawings. This must include the location.
and measurements of the associated elements, which correspond to architectural, mechanical,
Electrical and plumbing plans are included.

B.. All mentioned dimensions should take precedence over scaled dimensions from
designs. sections, as well as specifics. Notes and specifics on drawings shall take precedence
over generic instructions, remarks and customary details.

C.. The finished construction is represented by the contract structural drawings and
specifications.

They do not specify construction methods; unless otherwise specified, the contractor must take all
essential precautions to protect structures, adjacent property, workers, and other people during all phases
of development. The contractor must immediately notify the engineer officer of any condition that, in his
opinion, could compromise the project's stability or cause distress in the structure.
d. Building materials must not be stored on concrete slabs. It is the overall obligation
of the contractor to guarantee that the subcontractors are adequately informed and do
not break this vital requirement.
E.. The contractor must provide temporary bracing and shoring for all projects.

During all phases of construction, structure members must be used to provide structural stability.

F. Following the installation of all structural and completed materials, the contractor must
take all necessary steps to assure good structure alignment.

G. The contractor must dispose of and carry away surplus waste items from the job site

premises.

H. To verify materials not specified in these specifications, the contractor must refer to
the entire plans and drawings (spot details and call outs).

DIVISION II SITE WORKS

Excavation and Backfill

Before depositing concrete, the contractor must disclose in writing to the designer the actual soil
conditions discovered and the confirmed actual bearing capability of the soil. No footing shall be
supported by fill. Footings for CHB walls and other minor structures must be embedded at a
depth of at least 600 mm below natural ground level. Backfill shall be laid in 200 mm layers and
compacted to a maximum dry density of 95%. Backfill, for example, must be completed .The
engineer must inspect the compaction.

Forms for Concrete Works

To maintain the precise position and shapes of the concrete members, all concrete forms must be
appropriately braced or linked together. Forms must be built tightly enough to prevent bulging
and water seepage. Forms must not be removed until the concrete has reached a sufficient
strength to withstand its own weight as well as any loads placed on it. Side forms of beams may
be removed before bottom forms, but additional posts or shoring must be installed under the
beams until they have acquired the required strength.
DIVISION III CONCRETE WORKS

All concrete works must be completely mixed until there is a uniform distribution of cement and
aggregates and must be dumped as close to its final position as possible, with care made to avoid
aggregate segregation. Water for concrete mixing must be clean and devoid of harmful amounts
of oil, acids, salts, and other organic compounds.

All concrete works shall be done in accordance with the standard specification for plain and
reinforced concrete as adapted by the local government using the following proportions of
concrete mixtures for various parts of the building:

Class AA (1:1 ½ :3 ): Columns and Footings

Cement: Volume x 10.46

Sand: Volume x 0.42

Gravel: Volume x 0.84

Class A (1:2:4): Reinforced Concrete Beams and Slabs

Cement: Volume x 7.85

Sand: Volume x 0.42

Gravel: Volume x 0.84

Class B (1:2- ½ :5 ): Plaster

Cement: Volume x 6.49

Sand: Volume x 0.44

Gravel: Volume x 0.87

Fine aggregates for concrete shall be composed of natural sand or inert materials with equivalent
properties and clean and durable grains. It must be free of organic materials and loam.

The coarse aggregate for concrete shall be made of durable crushed rock quality, or clean and
hard gravel ranging in size from 20 mm to 40 mm.

DIVISION IV MASONRY WORKS

All concrete hollow blocks shall be 4” x 8” x 16” for the exterior and interior walls respectively
thoroughly wetted before lying unless otherwise specified on

the plan. The concrete hollow block walls shall be laid, and cells filled with cement mortar

consisting of one part cement to two and half parts of sand by volume. They'll be 10-mm
reinforcement. diameter-reinforcing bars spaced 0.80 meter vertically and at Every three layers
on the horizontal.

Class B concrete mixtures 12 mm (1/2") thick shall be plastered. Make steel wire available. To
avoid this, mesh all contact points between the CHB and the beams or the CHB and the column.
In the event of lateral movement on the ground, hairline cracks may appear.

DIVISION V REINFORCED CONCRETE
