Subject based In this unit, learners will perform the story of “Snow Queen”.
They will learn and do the rehearsal process, they will learn
how to become a different character (acting techniques), and
in their role-play they will learn how the character of their role
adapts to the different environments, weather and societies
through the story line. Students will perform the story for the
summative assessment.

I will integrate by focusing on LP Open-minded, communicators, caring

ATL skills:

1. Critical thinking: Analyzing


 Students will observe the story line: what environments, weather
conditions, characters are in the story and how do characters adapt to
the specific situation.
 Students will identify unique characteristics that describes
personalities of certain characters in the play, and their behaviors due
to situations and environments.
 Students will synthesize their understanding about the relationships
between characters and interplay within the environmental situations.
2. Creative thinking: Generating novel ideas
 Make unexpected or unusual connections between objects that will be
used as a props in the scenes. Students will come up with ideas how to
use the props in their scenes to represent their character role in the
play more effective.
3. Social skills: Interpersonal relationships, social and emotional
intelligence. Developing positive interpersonal relationships and
collaboration.
 Through the story line and characters interaction students will practice
the empathy and care for others, how to help and be respectful to
others. Students will learn how to play cooperatively in a group:
sharing, taking turns, that are required in presenting their show.
4. Communication skills: Interpreting and Speaking
 Interpret visual, audio and oral communication: students will respond to
the props, lighting and sound effects that will be used in the
performance.
 Students will learn how to use kinesthetic communication (body
language) in expressing their roles.
 Students will learn and practice on how to use oral skills during
conversations between characters including intonations, articulation,
expressions and how to address the audience.
