I. PROGRAM PROFILE
I.1Title: Proper Parenting in the New Normal
I.2 Rationale Proper parenting plays a pivotal role in shaping the

future of children and, consequently, society as a whole.
Effective and responsible parenting not only ensures the
well-being and happiness of children but also contributes to
the development of responsible, empathetic, and resilient
individuals. This SLAC aims to explore the significance of
proper parenting and its impact on various aspects of a
child's life, including their cognitive, emotional, and social
development.
Cognitive Development: Proper parenting lays the
foundation for a child's cognitive development, which is
essential for their academic success and intellectual
growth. Parents who are actively involved in their children's
learning experiences, provide a stimulating environment,
and encourage curiosity help to foster critical thinking
skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities in their
children. By engaging in proper parenting practices,
parents can positively influence their children's cognitive
development and set them up for a lifetime of learning and
growth.
Emotional Development: A crucial aspect of proper
parenting is teaching children how to manage and

awareness, and emotional resilience, which are essential
qualities for leading fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Social Development: Proper parenting also
encompasses teaching children social skills and values,
such as respect, kindness, and cooperation. By modeling
positive social behaviors and providing opportunities for
children to interact with others, parents can help their
children develop strong interpersonal skills and build
lasting relationships. Furthermore, proper parenting
practices instill a sense of responsibility and moral values
in children, contributing to the development of socially
responsible and ethical individuals who can contribute
positively to society.
Mental Health and Well-being: Children who
experience proper parenting are more likely to have better
mental health and overall well-being. Parents who provide a

classroom in order to manage their respective classes more
efficiently and effectively.
Proper Parenting in the New Normal is very significant in
