I. PROGRAM PROFILE

SCHOOL-BASED SEMINAR ON MENTAL HEALTH AND


PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID (PFA)FOR TEACHERS,

“Mag-usap, Sabihin at Pakinggan”

The psychosocial support activities are imperative in


promoting, protecting, and prioritizing the learners’ socio-
emotional well-being as they transition back to in-person classes.
These activities are being facilitated by classroom advisers or
designated teachers.
In support to the PPST Domain 6 Community Linkages and
Rationale Professional Engagement expects teachers to identify and
respond to opportunities that link teaching and learning in the
classroom to the experiences, interests and aspirations of the
wider school community and other key stakeholders. Moreover, in
line with the DepEd Memorandum no. 62, s. 2022: Brigada
Eskwela 2022, Moriones Elementary School have conduct School-
Based Seminar on Psychological First Aid (PFA).

Below are the specific objectives of the learning


session.
 Coordinate school efforts to promote and implement
psychosocial support activities for S.Y. learners. 2022-2023
face-to-face classes;
 Support the development of the knowledge, skills and
competencies of teachers in implementing and facilitating
psychosocial support activities for learners.
 Provides a comprehensive guide for faculty on how to
consistently implement and facilitate psychosocial support
activities for learners, especially in relation to returning to
face-to-face teaching.
 Inform and guide educational and non-educational staff in
conducting monitoring and evaluation activities to further
develop mental health support programs and activities.
Objectives  Improving learner outcomes/outcomes/performance
through different approaches to mental health.
 Enable teachers, parents and other stakeholders to
strengthen connections and partnerships
 To inform learners, teachers, and families as an evidence-
based intervention model after disasters and emergencies.
 Interventions for learners, teachers and families
 Encourage the preparedness of all faculty and non-faculty
staff to assist colleagues and students in need of
psychological first aid due to increased stress, anxiety and
other mental health symptoms during this pandemic. 4.
Help learners and staff who have experienced a traumatic
event release and examine their feelings and emotions to
cope with the current situation.
 Increase psychosocial support and mental health
awareness.
