People

There are several tribes in the mountains and along coastal areas. One of them was the Tau’t
Bato Tribe that lives in Signapan Valley, Barangay Ransang. Signapan Valley is a bowl-shaped
cave and consists of 176 types of limestones, often called Tau't bato Cave. This area can be
reached in approximately 5-7 hours from the national roads.

The first woman in Tau't Bato Tribe who holds a degree is Juda Diklay, finished her Bachelor’s
Degree in Elementary Education from the Western Philippines University (WPU) in Puerto
Princesa, Palawan. It created a history in Tau’t Bato Tribe. This proves that indigenous people
could adapt modern and social activities downtown.

Relax and dip into the cold water and refresh your mind, in the river. It is located in Barangay Culasian.
The river from the mountain downstreams are used by locals for everyday use. As of now, there is a mini-
hydro structure in the Culasian River.

Waterfalls

Waterfalls are such a beauty of nature, the sounds of water falling down and the green forest that
surrounds enhanced the natural area. There are 8 waterfalls in rizal, which are:

• Muslod Falls in Campung Ulay

• Buar-Buar Falls in Ransang
• Turbong Falls in Punta Baja
•Mantayob and Ilian Falls in Bunog
•Madiplak, Kinaruwayan, and Gamay Falls in Iraan
Aside from this you can also visit the Double Island, Bungawon Natural pool and taste local foods. There
are many resorts along the place but I highly recommend to book hotels before your departure to check
that suits you and avoid confusion. All in all, this island serves natural tourist spots.
