Leadership

a) Demonstrated Safety leadership.
b) Management engagement and time in the field.
Response: A- I have taken proactive steps to promote safety as a core value and I implemented our safety
policy that clearly communicated the organization's commitment to safety and effectively communicated
the policy and its importance to all personnel.
Moreover, I demonstrated safety leadership by conducting regular safety meetings (with Permit Holder,
Team Leader and Supervisor) and toolbox talks to communicate important safety information, address
concerns, encourage reporting and active participation in safety initiatives which we conducted
throughout the year, and address any safety-related questions or suggestions. and reinforce safe work
practices. These interactions allowed me to engage directly with employees, listen to their feedback, and
provide guidance and support when needed and allowed me to lead by example and demonstrate my
dedication to safety.
Another significant initiative I took was implementing regular safety inspections and audits. By conducting
routine assessments of the workplace, equipment, I identified potential hazards and areas for
improvement. I ensured that findings from these inspections were promptly addressed and corrective
actions were implemented to mitigate risks and prevent incidents.

As a safety leader, I ensured that adequate resources were allocated to support safety initiatives. This
included safety training programs, personal protective equipment, safety signage, and equipment
maintenance to provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees.

Lastly, I actively participated in industry-related safety webinars, conferences, and workshops to stay
updated on the latest safety practices and emerging trends. This allowed me to bring new ideas and
knowledge back to the organization, implementing innovative approaches to improve safety performance.
By taking these initiatives and demonstrating safety leadership, I have created a culture where safety is a
core value and everyone feels empowered and accountable for their own safety and the safety of others.
This has resulted in a reduction in incidents, increased employee engagement in safety initiatives, and an

Response: A- One significant accomplishment and initiative I have undertaken is fostering a personal commitment to everyone's
safety within the organization. By instilling a sense of personal responsibility for safety, I have created a culture where everyone
feels personally responsible for their own safety and the safety of others. Furthermore, I emphasized the importance of open
communication and encouraged employees to actively participate in safety discussions, share their experiences, and report any
safety concerns or near-miss incidents. This created a safe and supportive environment where everyone felt comfortable
speaking up and taking action to prevent accidents or injuries.

In addition to the training, I arranged regular refresher training as per QG Training Calendar to ensure that employees
remained up-to-date with safety practices and regulations. This ongoing training helped reinforce their personal commitment to
safety and served as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a safe work environment.

To further promote personal commitment to safety, I led by example. I consistently followed safety protocols, wore
appropriate PPE, and actively cunducting safety inspections and audits (for which I devoloped a tracking sheets as Field Safety
Inspection Tracking Sheet). By demonstrating my personal commitment to safety, I encouraged employees to do the same and
reinforced the message that safety is a shared responsibility.

Overall, through the implementation of a comprehensive safety QG training program and Inhouse Training, fostering open
communication, and leading by example, I have promoted and exemplified a personal commitment to everyone's safety. This
has resulted in a safer work environment, increased awareness and engagement among employees, and a culture where safety
is a top priority for everyone.

Response: A- One significant accomplishment and initiative I have taken is the implementation of a proactive approach to addressing safety
issues within the organization. I have fostered a culture that prioritizes safety and takes proactive steps to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

I conducted a thorough assessment of the workplace to identify potential safety hazards and areas of concern. This allowed me to prioritize and
address the most critical issues proactively. By identifying potential hazards before they resulted in accidents or injuries, I was able to prevent
incidents from occurring in the first place. To foster a proactive approach to safety, I conducted regular safety inspections and audits to
systematically evaluate the workplace for any potential hazards or non-compliance with safety standards. This included conducting walkthroughs,
engaging employees in safety discussions, and seeking their input on safety concerns. By involving employees in the process, I promoted a
sense of ownership and encouraged them to proactively report potential safety issues they observed. And These inspections were followed by
prompt action to rectify identified issues, such as fixing faulty equipment, improving signage, or implementing additional safety measures.
Furthermore, I implemented our existing reporting system for near misses and incidents promptly. This allowed for the timely investigation of root
causes and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent similar occurrences in the future. By promptly addressing safety incidents and near
misses, I demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to safety management.

I delivered safety training to employees as per Internal Training Calendar, ensuring they were equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to
identify and address safety issues. This empowered them to proactively take actions to mitigate risks and create a safer work environment. Also, I
promoted and encouraged employees to report safety issues, near misses, or potential hazards whether it through online QHSE Observation
System or suggestion card. This allowed for timely identification and resolution of safety concerns, fostering a sense of trust and collaboration.

Overall, my proactive approach to safety issues resulted in a safer workplace, reduced incidents, and improved employee well-being. By
identifying and addressing potential hazards before they escalated, I exemplified the importance of proactive safety management and fostered a
culture of vigilance and preventive measures within the organization.

b) Communicates frequently and effectively up & down within the organization.
Response: A- One of my significant accomplishments is promoting and fostering a culture that encourages employees to report observations,
including near misses, in order to enhance safety and prevent future incidents. To attain this, I implemented our existing online QHSE
reporting system to report observations and near misses, I have actively communicated the importance of reporting observations and near
misses to all employees. I've emphasized that reporting such incidents is not about blame but rather about identifying potential hazards and
improving overall safety. By creating a non-punitive reporting environment, I've encouraged employees to come forward without fear of
retribution.
To further promote reporting, I delivered regular training sessions, TBT and live demonstration to educate employees about the importance
of reporting and the potential benefits it brings to the organization. I emphasized the role of near misses as valuable learning opportunities
that can help identify potential hazards and prevent accidents from occurring in the future.
Also, I have promoted non-punitive reporting culture where employees are assured that reporting near misses will not lead to disciplinary
action. Instead, near misses are viewed as opportunities for improvement and proactive hazard identification. This approach encourages open
and honest reporting, as employees feel safe sharing their observations.
I drive regular communication channels effectively by sharing Safety Alerts as lessons learned from reported near misses and incidents. This
allows employees to see the tangible benefits of reporting and fosters a sense of collective responsibility for safety.

By implementing these initiatives, I have successfully encouraged employees to report their observations, including near misses, thereby
creating a culture of vigilance, continuous improvement, and proactive hazard identification throughout the organization.

a) Acquired new skills & integrated added information into daily work to improve performance/productivity.
b) Effective resolution of safety problems.
Response: Throughout my working period, I have continuously strived to acquire new skills and integrate additional
information into my daily work, resulting in improved performance and productivity. One significant initiative I have taken is
the continuous learning and integration of knowledge in various areas.

For example, I have recently completed my level 6 qualification in occupational health and safety. By doing this, I have expanded
my understanding and knowledge in OHS diversely and integrated this acquired knowledge into my performance. Also, I have
actively engaged in professional development opportunities such as attending workshops, webinars, and online courses. These
endeavors have allowed me to acquire new skills and enhance my capabilities in areas such as communication, critical thinking,
problem-solving and leadership. This continuous improvement process has positively impacted my performance, enabling me to
promote safety culture within the workplace in an efficient way.

In summary, my commitment to acquiring new skills and integrating additional information into my daily work has significantly
contributed to my performance and productivity.
