Make the graphs of the following functions

1) x 2+ y 2=z

2) y 2 +5 z 2=x 2

Make a report of 3 real situations (from your environment) where several variables interact and
establish

1. Description of the situation and interaction of variables

2. No. of interacting variables
3. Dependent and independent variables
Situation 1

When there is a very hot day and we don't have money to go to the beach or there is no money
for the weather and the only way to cool off is to fill a pool that your grandfather gave you for
your birthday but it turns out that you would get bored waiting for it to fill and While that happens
you want to watch TV, and you don't want it to overflow during the calling process, so you apply
mathematics and look at how much the water rises in a certain time to calculate how long it will
take to fill. Knowing the pool is 2200 L and that 2.5 are filled every 2.75 seconds. How long will it
take for the pool to fill?

2200
( )
1) t= 2 , 5
2.75 s
2) interact t value

3) t is the dependent variable

Situation 2

At the university we can see the cost of green areas where the grass is pruned from time to time,
so we would like to know how much height is allowed for pruning by doing the calculations and it
was determined that the grass is pruned when it reaches approximately a maximum height. 16 cm
and that the grass grows 1 cm every 2 days if it was last mowed on Monday at 7 am when it will be
mowed the next time.

1) t=16 /.5

2) interact t value

3) t is the dependent variable

Situation 3

When you study mechatronics and your physics teacher asks you to go to the blackboard to solve
a problem on the blackboard in which you are asked to convert from radians (x) to degrees (y) of a
circle, for that you have the following equation.

1) x= ( 180π ) .( y)
2) two variables interact (x, y)

3) dependent variable (x), independent variable (y)
