B. Explore
1. Motivation
Play “Guess the Object”. I have
three boxes here named solid,
liquid, gas. And I have here a
box that contains different
objects. Each of you will pick
an object inside the box and
classify if it is solid, liquid or
gas. The students will pick an object
inside the box and after which they will
identify whether it is a solid, liquid or a
gas.
What do you observe about the
objects you classify?
Very Good!
Now I tell you, anything you saw are
matter.
2. Presentation
Today we will identify the
properties of matter based on
their function.
3. Pre- Activity
Our activity for today is going

from the class. You decide who
will lead your group and present
to the audience from among
yourselves.
4. Activity Proper
I am going to distribute the

What are the special properties of The special properties of solid are
solid, liquid and gas? porosity, ductility, brittleness,
elasticity, malleability, and
flexibility. While liquid are fluidity,
viscosity, capillarity and surface
tension. And the special properties of
gas are diffusibility and compress.
The teacher makes a concept map on
the board to summarize the properties
of three (solid, liquid, and gas)
2. Application
What is the importance of knowing
the states of matter in our daily life?
