01.Topic:
O/L Quiz Hub (Sinhala Medium)
02.Introduction:
Information and Communication Technology has an important place in the world since we are in the
information age era. With ICT we can make our lives easier, Due to this now, ICT cannot be separated
with our daily needs, so it is essential to use ICT in education sector.
In order to fulfill this necessity, the Sri Lankan government has introduced ICT as a subject for the
school syllabus. Actually, this is a good decision as students can get aware about ICT from grade 6
onwards.
During my internship period at R/Ferguson High School, from the learning teaching process I
identified that some students do not have a proper idea about the whole syllabus for O/L exam because
most of the students are facing a difficulty to find the O/L model papers and past papers.
Most of the students get below 25 marks for the MCQ questions and get below 7 marks for Essay
type questions. The reason for this is not practicing a variety of questions.
To minimize this problem, I decided to create a Quiz Hub for Grade 10 and 11 ICT students
including all subject content by separating according to the lesson. Specially I targeted it to Grade 10 and
11 Sinhala medium ICT students. Also, ICT teachers get the opportunity to use this book in their
learning teaching process.
This will be help to increase the marks for the subject and as well as it will be helped to develop the
knowledge of ICT.
03.Objectives:
 To develop the ICT knowledge of grade 10 and 11 Sinhala medium students.
 To develop the ICT knowledge of teachers.
 To develop the practice of variety of questions.
 To use as a self-learning tool for students.
 To use as a teaching aid for teachers.
 To evaluate students after the lesson.
 To revise the knowledge of the subject.
 To increase the result of the subject.
