BOOK PROPOSAL
INTRODUCTION This fable along with its moral aims to teach the student a
cultural part of our country Colombia focused on the city of
Yopal and its main teaching is to teach some verbs to first
grade children.
Name of the book The Iguanas and the Chiguiro.
MORAL Know the wicked well, so that they do not surprise you with
their deceptions.

Yopal is a very beautiful city with a warm climate.!!! This has a forest called Parque
de las Iguanas where many iguanas live. They are small, long and green. This place
is very beautiful because you can feel the aroma of nature, hear the birds singing and
feel the freshness of the breeze.

One day all the iguanas said let's go for a walk and they came to a tree with many
flowers and leaves and one iguana jumpe on a stone, another iguana ran after a
butterfly, another iguana wanted to play with its sisters and other iguanas wanted to
look at nature. . Hours later it became night and they found a lake, but they already
wanted to return home. But they couldn't find the way and they cried but suddenly a
little Chiguro with brown fur appeared.

These animals eat grass but this Chiguiro was different. He didn't like to play, jump
and run, that's why he was fat and liked to eat small animals. Then he asked the
iguanas: Are you lost? They answered yes!; We are lost, we want to return home!
The Chiguiro was a deceptive animal and he said that he was going to help them
return home and took another path so he could eat the iguanas.
Suddenly!! A very beautiful parrot arrived and warned them to stay away from him
because what he wanted was to have a good dinner, while the chiguiro drank water
and the parrot helped the iguanas return home, but when the chiguiro returned to his
lake he did not He was able to because there was no one there and he was very
angry for not carrying out his plan until a person hunted him to feed his family.

PRE-READING;
Each student will enter the room using one of the actions
posted on the wall, for example:
-Jumping
-in a hurry
-walking
-Playing
When all the children enter the room, the teacher will organize
them in a circle to dance and sing the song The Smile of the
Eyes by the singer Walter Silva; This will be about some plain
animals.
Then, the teacher will have 5 categories on the board which
are:
- meal
- climate:
- clothes
-animals
- Tourist places
And she will also show an image of the cover of the fable of the
beautiful city of Yopal and will ask the students to complete the
categories.
Who is the author who sang the song?
Do you know what this city is?
What will the food be there?
How's the weather?
What clothes do they wear?
What animals live there?
There beautiful places there?
The students will respond to the teacher and the teacher will
help them in how to say these new words for them in English.
DURING-READING:
The teacher will begin to narrate the Fable called: The iguanas
and the chiguiro, when the teacher is narrating and naming the
iguanas the teacher will ask: Do you know what iguanas are
like? and the students must draw on the cardboard box that the
teacher gave to each one. Then, they will show the image of
the iguana and they will talk about its characteristics comparing
with the drawings of each child and the same methodology will
be carried out when the teacher names the chiguiro they should
draw and compare with the image.
When the teacher begins to narrate some actions of the
iguanas, he or she must perform them, for example:
- The iguana jumps on the stone
The teacher must carry out the action.
POST-READING:
To finish, the teacher will ask the students to carry out the
actions based on the phrase such as:
- The iguana + verb + complement
The students will represent an action from the book and when
everyone completes the activity they can go to break.
