Students may choose any one topic from these topics to write about, you are
advised to keep your article within the bounds of described topic. Further
instructions on article submission and rules are mentioned in next pages.

EVOLUTION OF THE UNIVERSE:


Explore the grand narrative of the universe's birth, expansion, and potential
future. Explain the Big Bang theory and its implications, and discuss the various
stages in the cosmic journey, from the primordial soup to the formation of
galaxies and clusters.

LIFE CYCLE OF STAR (STELLAR EVOLUTION TILL NEUTRON STAR):


Dive into the life and death of stars. Discuss how stars are born, the different
types of stars, and the processes that govern their evolution. Explore stars'
dramatic transformations, from their formation to their ultimate fate.

BLACK HOLE AND SINGULARITY:


Discuss the mysteries related to black holes, those celestial phenomena where
gravity seems to defy all known laws of physics. Describe the formation of black
holes, the concept of event horizons, and the enigmatic singularity at their core.

STANDARD MODEL:
Take a journey into the microscopic world of particle physics. Explain the
Standard Model, the fundamental particles it comprises, and the forces that
govern the behavior of particles. Explore the quest for unifying the forces of
nature.

QUANTUM GRAVITY:
Discuss the quest to merge quantum mechanics and general relativity to
understand the fabric of the universe at its most fundamental level. Delve into
theories and experiments to achieve quantum gravity, and discuss the
implications for our understanding of the cosmos.

TIMELINE:
Registration Begins: 22nd Oct 2023 (2100 hours IST)
Registration Ends: 29th Oct 2023 EOD
Round 1 submission deadline: 29th Oct 2023 EOD
Round 1 result deceleration: 30th Oct 2023 (1800 hours IST)
Round 2 submission deadline: Till presentation time of participant
Round 2 presentation: 1st Nov 2023 and 2nd Nov 2023 from 1800 hours IST
to 1930 hours IST on both the dates.
Final Result deceleration: 3rd Nov 2023 (1200 hours IST)

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTION:
For round 1, submit document link or medium link of your article at UnStop.
For round 2, submit your ppt link at UnStop.
For both the round, mail your article or ppt at our email
astronomyclub.iitbhu@gmail.com.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
All university students are eligible to participate in this competition.
All participants must follow our social handles to be eligible for podium.
Instagram, Medium, X (formerly twitter).
Submissions caught under plagiarism will be disqualified.

RULES:
1. Discord: Join our discord channel for regular update.
2. Individual Participation: Participation in this competition is limited to
individuals only. No team entries will be accepted.
3. Single Blog Entry: Each participant is allowed to submit only one blog entry.
Multiple submissions from the same person will not be considered.
4. Original Content: All submitted blogs must be original, and participants are
required to refrain from copying content from another source. Plagiarism
will result in immediate disqualification.
5. Word Limit:
If you are submitting a Medium link to your article, make sure your article
has not more than 7 minutes of read time on Medium.
If you are submitting a direct document link to your article or any other
blog link, make sure your article is within 800 words.
6. Submission Deadline: To qualify for the second round of competition, your
blog entry must be submitted by the 29th of October end of the day (EOD).
7. Topic Mention: When submitting your blog, participants must clearly
mention the chosen topic they are writing about.
8. Judgment Rights: The organizers retain the right to make final judgments on
any issues or disputes related to the competition. Their decisions will be
considered binding and final.
9. Qualified participants will have 12 minutes for presentation (10 minutes
presentation + 2 minutes QnA by jury and audience).
