Apakah jatuh bebas?
What is free fall?
• Objek dikatakan 'jatuh bebas' apabila ia jatuh di bawah kekuatan medan graviti sahaja.
An object is said to experience free fall if it falls due to gravitational force only.
A sheet of paper does not fall freely because its motion is affected by air resistance.
• Objek hanya jatuh bebas di dalam vakum. Ketiadaan udara bermaksud tiada rintangan
udara yang menentang pergerakan objek.
An object only falls freely in vacuum. No air means no air resistance that oppose the motion of
the object.
In vacuum, both light and heavy objects fall freely. They fall with gravitational acceleration
which is the acceleration that cause by gravity, g.

SUBJECTIVE QUESTIONS
BAHAGIAN A
SECTION A
jisim.
Diagram below shows an experiment to study the relationship between inertia and mass.
Two pails A and B are pushed at the same time with the same force. The time taken by each
pail to stop swinging was recorded.
The result of the experiment is recorded in the table below.

Jadual 1
Table 1
(a) Berdasarkan Jadual 1, nyatakan satu pemerhatian bagi eksperimen ini.
Based on Table 1, state one observation for this experiment.
Pail B takes longer time to stop swinging compare to pail A.
[1 markah]
Inertia is a force that cause the pail with bigger mass takes longer time to stop swinging
when the same force is given.

(d) Rajah dibawah menunjukkan seorang lelaki menolak troli P dan troli Q.
Diagram below shows a man pushing trolley P and trolley Q.
Troli manakah yang sukar untuk ditolak? Terangkan jawapan anda dengan
menggunakan konsep inertia.
Which trolley is harder to push? Explain your answer by using the concept of inertia.
besar
Trolley Q. It has the bigger mass than trolley P, thus it has bigger inertia.

During wars, food aid and medicine sometimes had to be dropped from the air. Usually the
supply will suffer damage due to high velocity while reaching the surface of the Earth.
Using the working principle of a parachute, explain how damage to supplies dropped from
the air can be reduced. Your description must contain the following aspects:
