piezometric level is 30m and it falls 2m in the tube-well while pumping. Calculate the discharge of
the tube-well when the radius of the circle of influence is 30m.

5. Design a strainer for a 30 mm diameter tube-well to be operable by No.6 Hand Pump at the rate of 7
42 Lt/min. Slot No 10 to strainer having a 40% open area to be used, the entrance velocity should
be around 0.01m/s
