The nature of life

FOOD CHAINS
All living things depend on another for
food.
Foxes eat _________.

Eagles eat _________

and __________.

Rabbits eat_________.

Plants produce
________________.
Producers  They produce their
own food.

TULIPS
SUNFLOWERS
OAK TREES
TOMATO PLANTS
CONSUMERS They eat other
animals and plants

consumers eat other animals and
plants.
 What do the producers eat? The
producers make their own food.
 What is a food chain? The food chain

depends on another for food.
There are two
types of plants:

 What is a consumer? A consumer is a
living thing that eats other animals
and plants.

 What is a producer? A producer is a

living thing that makes its own food.
 Wild plants do not need the
care from people. They
grow on their own.
 Cultivated plants need the care
from people.

These
people are
called
farmers.
Farmers
PLANT,
WATER and
This is the process of plants growth.

1. The farmers plant the seeds.

2. Then, they water the plants.

3. Finally, when the plants are grown,

they collect fruits and vegetables.
 We use the cultivated and wild plants
to make perfumes, salads, soup and
body creams.
 What are the cultivated plants? The cultivated plants
are plants that need care from people.

 What are the wild plants? The wild plants don’t need
care from people to grow.

 What do farmers do? The farmers plant the seeds,

water the plants and collect the fruits and vegetables.

DOMESTIC ANIMALS

Domestic
animals
live on
farms or
houses.
Some
examples
like hen,…
…,cow…
 …and sheep give us food and
materials.
 LIVESTOCK FARMERS take care of
domestic animals to get food and
materials from them.
WILD ANIMALS
Wild animals
live free
in nature.

They don’t
need care
from
people to
survive.
 Bear, deer or fox are WILD ANIMALS
1.What is the difference between wild animals and
domestic animals? Wild animals live in houses or
farms and domestic animals live free in nature.
2. What can we get from domestic animals? We get
food and materials from domestic animals.
3. Say three examples of domestic animals: The cow,
the hen and the sheep.
4.
Match with a line from the animal
to its use.
