It cannot be denied that technology helps most of us to achieve our dreams in life.
Back in 19909s, we were happy to be able to use public phones to contact other
people or enjoy watching evening drama series through television. As the technology
hasadvanced, our young generations nowadays are lucky enough to enjoy their life
just by having smart devices like smart phones, tablets or video game consoles. As a
matter of fact, younger generations are not lazy because the world is actually in their
hand; by one click at a time. Subsequently, technology eases our way to access to
different channels that could help us to strive for the best. Photocopier machines, fax
machines, printers and scanners are some of good inventions to help us in thriving in
different walks of life. A group of students, workers or even housewives are fully
utilizing different kinds of technologies to accomplish their dreams in life. They could
be living their dreams either by working with big companies or using social sites to
sell stuff online. Moreover, now that we have WIFI connection or 8data roaming9 to
ease our jobs, sending emails, presenting reports or having a workshop online could
be done easily by the help oftechnology. By far, technologies in communication has
made us eager to be a part of our society. If humans are lazy, then those inventions of
technology would not have been invented at the first place. Therefore, technology
provides better things in life for us to achieve our goals in life.
Apart from transportation, our government has provided us with beneficial medical
technologies that can cure so many harmful diseases. Living in a fast pace world, we
may forget to take care of our health. Most of the time, we simply eat what is in front
of us or we seldom do exercises to maintain our ideal weight. However, with new
technologies in medical field, many diseases involving our respiratory systems,
kidney functionsbrains or even skin related problems can actually be treated in this
country. Moreover, our young generations are so eager to learn new things to be able
to become doctors, dentists, pharmacist or even radiographers in order to help others
in the future. Technologies do not lead us to laziness but they are motivating our
young generations to strive for the best in life. Without technology to help us in
medical field, the rate of mortality will be high and many people will die at a young
age especially among new born babies. Thus, I believe that if people are lazy, they
will not be able to invent more new technologies especially in medical field because
we want to fight incurable diseases together.
In conclusion, I think we are using technologies at our best and it does not mean that
we are lazy. They were invented and they were meant to be fully utilized in our daily
live. In fact, technology is being utilized for achieving our goals, living in better
surroundings and treat various harmful diseases. That is why I disagree with the
statement because technology has never made us a lazy society. Without technology,
might as well we live as a pre-historic society – living in a cave and hunting animals
for food. As far as it concerns, the evolution of mankind has brought us many new
technologies in our lives. For that, I think we deserve to enjoy every bit of
technologies provided for us.
Stress makes people fat
Have you ever heard emotional eating? This phrase actually refers to people who
use food to help them dealing with stressful situations and it is one kind of human9s
behavior patterns. For some reasons, stress is one of our major problems in life and so
does eating excessively while we are facing difficulties in life. In my opinion, I
believe that stress makes people fat and somehow stress gives negative impacts
towards their healthy weight. Negative stress can make people fat because they have
poor eating habits, disruptions in daily healthy routines and they indulge in unhealthy
lifestyles.
When people are depressed, they tend to eat a lot which may lead them to have
poor eating habits. Usually, stress tends to increase the appetite of eating a lot and
most of the time they just simply eat anything without thinking about calories or fats
inside certain food intake. In addition, negative stress such as feeling overwhelmed
with negative comments received from their superiors can somehow implicate their
body which they might experience the ‘fight or flight response’(a psychological
response towards something terrible or terrifying) and when this happens, some of
them chose to binge eating. Eventually, they will crave sweet things and junk food
which contain a lot of sugar and salt just to satisfy the hunger caused by negative
stress. To make things even worst, poor eating habits like munching processed food
like hotdogs, nuggets and fries which are higher in sodium intake without adhering to
the proper eating hour will cause obesity problems too. Hence, poor eating habits will
lead them to weight problems which somehow caused by stressful situations.
To summarize, a small number of people might lose weight due to excessive stress
in life. However, there are many people who will gain weight because they could not
do anything to fight against their dreadful situations in life. Stress had changed people
habit of eating, disrupt their routines and lead to unhealthy lifestyle. For those
reasons, I believe that stress do make people fat. To those kinds of people, eating and
drinking
activities can help them to overcome so many difficulties in life which resulting them
to be obese due to the excessive food intake
Living life healthily should start with what we eat daily. By consuming healthy food,
we are on the right track to stay healthy. Take a lot of food which contains good
carbohydrate and a lot of fibre like bananas or apples to ensure our body have
sufficient energy to process in a day. Apart from that, do not forget to consume plenty
of water in a day to help digesting the food as well as replenishing our energy for the
day. Water is essential in our life to keep us going healthily. In addition, a healthy
balanced diet by following the food pyramid will help us to lose some unwanted
weight that might affect our daily routine too. With that stated, avoid food with high
in sugar and salt like popcorn and crackers. We should avoid processed food like
ready-made minced meat or chicken nugget whereby it might contain trans-fat which
can increase the risk of heart disease. With that stated, eating right and drinking a
good amount of water are critical to stay healthy.
On top of that, exercising regularly should be a part of our busy life. This is crucial
for our well-being as we are busy working or studying, we tend to neglect the
importance of exercises towards our physical and mental health. Regular exercises
like jogging, walking and swimming release endorphins which help us to feel good
for that day. When we feel good, we will feel happy and it helps us to boost energy
for the whole week. Moreover, it only takes 30 minutes of our busy schedule to
exercise. We can have regular exercises three times in a week because exercises help
to reduce back pain and sore muscles after a long week of working or studying. If
exercising seems too hassle to do it alone, we can ask our family members or close
friends to do it together. Strolling in the park while talking to each other is another
form of exercising too. While walking for at least 30 minutes, we can burn
unnecessary calories as well as sharing problems with one another. In that way, we
are actually having fun while exercising. Hence, regular exercises need to
be carried out consistently for us to be healthy.
As time marches on, practising personal hygience is being neglected by most people
despite the advancement of technology. Practising personal hygience means keeping
ourselves clean. It is essential for us to keep ourselves clean as lots of bacteria and
virus lurk in our living environment.
It is as easy as ABC to keep ourselves clean. We can start by washing our hands more
often. Washing hands can kill the germs on our hands. Besides, taking showers
regularly is also important because we can keep the germs away and prevent
ourselves from having an offensive smell. Another worth-mentioning way is that we
should brush our teeth twice a day so that our teeth will not decay easily.
There are numerous benefits to keeping clean. First, we will be able to avoid
infectious diseases such as chicken pox, measles and influenza. When we wash away
the germs on our body, we will lower the risk of getting sick. Secondly, it will boost
your self-confidence since a clean physical appearance is more likely to attract
friendlier reactions and more positive evaluations from others.
