Mean
Characteristics of Mean (Cajigal, Mantuano, 2014):
❖ Since it is computed using every score in the distribution, it is
highly representative measure.
❖ Its strength is also its weakness because several atypically high
or typically low scores (outliers) can distort the mean value.
❖ Most frequent used index of distribution’s central tendency.
