Students should do a project on a subject they are interested in or a question that fascinates them. But
in considering what their project should be, they should seriously consider the theme of 2024 Science
Fair: CLIMATE SOLUTIONS. This is a timely topic containing aspects of science, engineering, politics, and
the economy. Special awards will be given to those projects that most closely adhere to this theme.
Some examples of the subjects that can be the basis for a Climate Solutions projects are:
CLIMATE SOLUTIONS
Renewable Energy: Explore and present innovative ways to harness renewable energy sources
like solar, wind, or hydropower to reduce carbon emissions.
Carbon Footprint Reduction: Investigate methods to lower carbon footprints, such as energy-
efficient technologies, sustainable transportation options, or carbon capture techniques.
Ecosystem Preservation: Study and propose solutions for protecting ecosystems, like
reforestation efforts, wetland restoration, or biodiversity conservation.
Climate Modeling: Create climate models or simulations to predict future climate scenarios and
suggest mitigation strategies.
Green Technology: Research and present projects related to green technologies, such as nuclear
power, electric vehicles, energy-efficient appliances, or sustainable building materials.
Students should remember to follow the scientific method, conduct thorough research, gather data, and
present their findings clearly to demonstrate the effectiveness of their work. Collaboration with experts
and organizations working on climate issues may also enhance the quality and impact of the project.
