IV. PROJECT SUMMARY

Teachers are at the core of any living society. Technologies play an imperative role in
training program of teachers. Students’ accesses knowledge and information through TV, digital
media, cable network, internet and social media i. e. Facebook, Twitter, Google Apps, Zoom, MS-
Teams, etc. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is very important for teacher’s
education program in today educational scheme. Without proper knowledge of ICT teacher cannot
perform in his/her class room and it could not be said to be a complete one.

For this purpose, the school shall innovate platform for learning that will develop
productive and responsible teacher-learner relationship even beyond normal classroom setting
equipping the learners the essential competencies, skills and techniques in providing them quality
instruction using ICT assisted instruction and integration. In order to achieve this, the school shall
provide tablet per Dap-ayan to be utilized by the learners to who wishes to access free internet
connection to give them a break to obtain quality education that is globally competitive based on a
pedagogically sound curriculum that is at equivalence with international standards through

V. PROJECT BACKGROUND

The set-up of the classroom is changing. There is a technological gap amongst the progress
of the society and instructional activities of the teacher in the classroom. If we see in our society on
the one hand technology has transformed our society and on the other hand the teaching learning
activities at school level have remained so far away from technology. In our classroom the
knowledge is conveyed by the teacher in an ancient way, a teacher centric mode which is most of
the time boring and not to gain interest to the student. But present 21st Century’s education is
student centric education. Students learn from multi sources and for this reason use of ICT &
Multimedia is very much essential in educational field and simultaneously student’s knowledge of
ICT and Multimedia also required.
So as to this new normal scheme, it is indeed a relevant call of time that we need to
enhance learner’s knowledge, skill and competencies on ICT as a medium of instruction. With this,
teachers will still be able to fill-in gaps between traditional and modern way of delivering quality
education and come up with in-depth learning.

VI. PROJECT OBJECTIVES

In this time of pandemic, the school shall continue to provide quality education
despite the new normal scheme of education. As Republic Act No. 10533 Likewise, it is hereby
declared the policy of the State that every graduate of basic education shall be an empowered
individual who has learned, through a program that is rooted on sound educational principles and
geared towards excellence, the foundations for learning throughout life, the competence to engage
in work and be productive, the ability to coexist in fruitful harmony with local and global
communities, the capability to engage in autonomous, creative, and critical thinking, and the
capacity and willingness to transform others and one’s self.

Thus, this project aims:

1. To provide learner’s who does not have an access for internet connection;

2. To invigorate the long-lost value and importance of dap-ayans;

3. To advocate academic ease amidst pandemic; and

4. To inculcate the value of education among learners.
