FOR JUBANG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Content:

Rationale

Technologies are everywhere, observations and research believe that people mostly did not

know how to use these modern technologies, whenever, wherever. Enhancing one’s competence in

using ICT is a way for people, especially students to see and understand how these technologies make

their learning easier and, in a way, make their lessons easy to understand.

As emphasized in Republic Act of the Philippines No. 10533 or the “Enhanced Basic Education

Act of 2013”. Section 7. On Teacher Education and Training it indicates that:

“To ensure that the enhanced basic education program meets the demand for quality teachers

and school leaders, the DepEd and the CHED, in collaboration with relevant partners in the

government, academe, industry and non-governmental organizations, shall conduct teacher education

and training programs, as specified:

(c) Training of School Leadership. – Superintendents, principals, subject area coordinators and

other instructional school leaders shall likewise undergo workshops and training to enhance their skills

on their role as academic, administrative and community leaders.

Henceforth, such professional development programs as those stated above shall be initiated

and conducted regularly throughout the school year to ensure constant upgrading of teacher skills.”

In the school setting, the proponent observed that the teachers are not familiarized with the use

of these technologies in their way of teaching. Not all of them can adapt with these sudden types of

change.

This action plan was proposed to intensify the implementation of DepEd’s computerization

program as a humble contribution to the Department of Education.


Objectives:

At the end of the proposed Action Plan, the school is expected to:

1. Share the best practices, strategies, and schemes along digital technologies manipulation

2. Intensify the implementation of DepEd’s computerization program; and

3. Strengthen the level of digital age readiness of the teachers and the pupils.
