Before you proceed any further, consider answering the pre-assessment below. This may determine
whether you already have prior knowledge on terms, skills, understandings in Swimming and Aquatics.

1. In your own understanding, what is the difference between Swimming and Aquatics?
Swimming is an aquatic activity that needs motor movements conducted in water for reasons that may
be practical, athletic, instructional, therapeutic, or recreational. Aquatics is a more generic name for
water-related sports that covers the disciplines of swimming.
2. Give health benefits that you can have when take swimming lessons or leisure.
• Your cardiovascular health and body muscular strength can both be enhanced by swimming.
• can support the health of your heart and lungs.
• can maintain and improve your physical fitness.
• can help you maintain a healthy weight and get your body in shape.
• If ever needed, the ability to swim can save the lives of those who are in need.
3. Analyze the concept of swimming and explain its importance to physical fitness development
and maintenance.
Any gender may participate in swimming, which can improve our physical health. Swimming is a
well-liked all-around body builder that is especially beneficial in treatment and as exercise for those
with physical disabilities. Even if it's risky due to the high-water level, it's worthwhile to attempt
since you can learn a lot of things, such as how to save a life if you're at the beach or pool.
4. In your understanding, give at least 5 or more key points to remember when you are inside and
outside of the pool.
• NEVER SWIM ALONE no one will save you
• Don’t save somebody in the water if they need help, ask the bodyguards for professional help.
• Don’t play any games that will make you drown
• Do not attempt to dive into that deep of water if you cannot swim there.
• Take a shower before entering the pool
5. What are the swimming apparels used in swimming?
• Swimming trunks
• Swim shirt
• swimsuit (For girls if they want)
• Swimming hat
 Goggles
6. What is floating? Give its importance.
Floating is a vital ability that enables swimmers to take breaks while still in the water. For swimmers,
floating is crucial because it allows them to rest briefly in the water, give them a chance to breathe,
and help them preserve energy if they are exhausted. Additionally, floating can help you maintain
floating balance if you get unexpected cramps, and you can quickly massage your foot to reduce any
discomfort.
