 Anchor charts and configuration board with benchmarks and success criteria were up and visible to all students

Strengths observed:

 Set up new room configuration to promote a new collaborative style prior to lesson
 Spoke to students respectfully
 Complimented students on listening and working well
 Redirected behavior as needed
 Allowed students to move and work area
 Some students at back table
 Addressed/corrected occasional negative comments students made to each other

 Continue to improve collaboration in environment- related to inquiry

Danielson Domain 3: Instruction

Strengths observed:

 Went over corresponding anchor charts


 Checked for understanding of comparing/contrasting
 Checked for understanding of directions, went back over instructions and modeled a bullet point when students
said they needed instruction again
 Monitored students and helped where needed
 Projected and explained compare/contrast graphic organizer
 Partnered students and encouraged slow starters to work together and collaborate
 Aware of what students were doing in room, moved around and monitored when necessary for behavior
 Paused to explain independent work when most students moved onto that part
