Narrative Report on End of School Year Remedial Reading 2022

Sta. Ana Elementary conducted EOSY remedial reading in all grade levels from Grade 1 up
to Grade 6 which started from July 25 and ended on August 12,2022. This is to enhance the
reading skills of the pupils and eradicate reading gaps.

In Grade 6 under my supervision, I had 11 pupils who participated in the weeks of reading
and enhancement. I discussed the basic reading and also enhanced their reading comprehension
through story reading and re- telling stories. My grade 6 pupils were very participative and they
were very willing to learn especially that it has been two years without face-to-face classes. They
were so thrilled in accomplishing their different tasks each day. They have also displayed progress
as the day went by. Furthermore, there were two sessions in a day; during morning the class
starts from 9:00-11:00 and in afternoon, it starts from 1:30 up to 3:30. Even if they spent a lot of
time in school during those days, they never got bored because there were so many engaging
activities prepared for them which luckily, they have accomplished on time.
Parents were also cooperative during the remedial because I handed them home reading
activities and tasked them to guide their sons/ daughters, they did their part as well. Indeed,
reading is more successful when parents cooperate.
