ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT OF
BRIGADA ESKWELA S.Y. 2022-2023

Brigada Eskwela is an annual program introduced by the Department of Education to every school
to prepare the rooms and the school as a whole to be prepared for the incoming opening of the classes
especially we are facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Brigada Eskwela usually happens every May of the
incoming school year but due to the pandemic, it has to be moved to August. This program was
formulated by the DepEd to preclude the pupils or students from cleaning the school every first day of
the classes, forbid students/pupils to be absent during the first day of the class because of an idea that
every first day of school is cleaning day and to prepare the school for the new normal way of education
since a lot of changes and adjustments to be made, this program helps the teacher to be well prepared
during the first day of the class at the same time it helps students/pupils and parents to be more
prepared in the opening of the classes.

As a teacher, Brigada Eskwela is a great help because it not only makes the school clean enough
for the opening of the classes, but it also serves as a bonding moment for the teachers, parents,
community, and the students as well. This program does not include only the teacher and the parents
but also the community.
