AUTOMATIC LIGHT / WATER SAVING SYSTEM

ABSTRACT:

Nowadays farmers are using various techniques to distribute water to the

farm, and there is a lot of water loss if they fail to notice them, another problem of
lighting control is required to reduce the wastage of power. So to mainly stop such
wastage of water and power we are in need for a new technique in which we will
be distributing water to the garden based on the humidity level measured in the air
and switches the based on the amount already present.

In this project a method for automatic irrigation is designed. There are pipes
connected to various places that need to be to be kept cool and humidity sensors
are kept in and around the place this will keep monitoring the status and if the
humidity gets low the controller provides commands for the relay to turn on the
water supply. Also if the light for the garden is reduced this is monitored by the
LDR and based on the input levels this turns on the light and also switches them
off if required.

The flow of water to various farms can be noted by means of velocity sensors and
then it can be used to indicate the speed of water. If they increase a particular speed
it can be informed the user that large amount of water is being emptied and
prevention methods can then be taken care of by stopping unnecessary flow. And
important use of this unit is that it can be used to check for unwanted leakages
from the pipes if there is a low pressure zone in any part of the pipe then the user
or the operator will check for any holes in the pipes and will repair it.
