I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. Define and identify the different vocal and dance form of afro-latin
American music through active listening;
b. Appreciate the beauty of afro-latin American music through watching a
video clip; and
c. Dance the different steps of afro-latin American music.

B. Motivation:
1. Learners will watch a short video of the different dance form in afro-latin
American music.

2. Ask the learners regarding the beauty of the music and dance combined.

C. Lesson Proper
A. Activity: Name that tune
1. Play an example music from the afro-latin American music.

e. Rumba
2. Assist the student in clapping the rhythm of each musical forms.
B. Analysis
1. How important is this musical form in the lives of the African American
people?
2. Why is it important to learn their music?
3. Cite a situation wherein these musical forms are found in Philippine
context.
C. Abstraction
1. Bubble Map
Learners will create a bubble map of the things they’ve learned
about afro-latin music.
D. Application
1. Assist the student, in dancing the different musical form in afro-latin
American music.
2. Learners will be grouped and perform at least 3 dace forms.
