ORAL EXAMS
In 300-500 words, each student will have to write a persuasive speech about any of
the topics that include social and environmental issues that cripple society today and the
solutions that they think might be useful and effective for it. Each issue is contextualized –
this means that it varies depending on the student’s strand just like inflation for ABM,
Inequality issue for HUMSS and current global issues for STEM, etc. Each students will be
given a limited time of 5-7 minutes speech and shall deliver it based on the given rubrics
below. Before the speech presentations, find a partner who will evaluate your speech, and
vice versa.
Submit two-versions of your speech to your teacher, the draft and the clean copy.
Use the following formats for the speeches you will submit.
Clean copy: short bond paper, double-spaced, font size 12, font style Times New
Roman
Draft: short bond paper, triple-spaced, font size 12, font style Times New Roman,
with markings
