Activities Performed: Supervision of Rehabilitation and
Expansion of the Irrigation Scheme and Dam Safety Remedial
Works.
The project includes:
 Supervision of Dam safety Remedial work at Tiga dam,
Ruwan Kanya Dam and Challawa Gorge Dam.
 Supervision of Rehabilitation and Expansion of 44 Irrigation
sectors (14,444.24ha)
 Supervision of Repairs and Rehabilitation of Main Canal
(17km)
 Supervision of Repairs and Rehabilitation of the Gayere
Branch Canal (2.8km), East Branch Canal (24km) and West
Branch Canal (8km)
 Supervision of Re-excavation and desilting of field drains
and collector drains to specified dimensions and invert
levels.
 Evaluation of payment Certificates
 Preparation of Monthly progress reports
