Jean Piaget’s Constructivism The formalization of constructivism from a within-the-human perspective is generally attributed to Jean Piaget, who articulated mechanisms by which information from the environment and ideas from the individual interact and result in internalized structures developed by learners. He identified processes of assimilation and accommodation that are key in this interaction as individuals construct new knowledge from their experiences. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constructivism_(philosophy_of_education)
With the philosophy of education mentioned above, I have
applied these in my lesson to help in the learning of the students. Through this philosophy, I have realized that learners can learn not only inside the four corners of the classroom but also in whatever kind of environment they are in, therefore it is only applicable that whatever they learn outside, be also brought inside the classroom so as to help R them relate more to the lesson and to let them improve in their learning capabilities. I have highlighted in the lesson plan the activities E wherein this learner-centered philosophy is applied. “Your Tagline Sounds Familiar” is an activity in the Motivation F part wherein the students have to guess as to what brand has the given commercial tagline. This is relatable for the students since most L of them can see commercials both on TV and online, therefore will let them engage more in the activity. E In the presentation of the lesson, I let the students watch a certain TV/online commercial that is also relatable to them since all of C them are children and students just like the main characters in the commercial shown. T Then, in the Tiktok battle, obviously, almost everyone knows about Tiktok so this activity also is found in every learner’s I environment, therefore, is also very engaging. Lastly, in the Value Integration, it is given emphasis that O students need to be aware of their environment because a lot of people have each and their own propaganda only for their own N advantage, therefore they need to think twice and double check whether to believe or not it anything they read or hear on TV and on the internet and in the people around them.

Philosophy of “Differentiated Learning”
by Carol Ann Tomlison
This philosophy of Differentiated Learning is a realization not
only to me but to many other teachers as well that not all learners are created equal and therefore will have different ways of learning. Every R learner has a different strength and weakness. Every learner is smart in their own way. One activity may be enjoyable useful for one learner E but may be a torture to another. Therefore, teachers should have differentiated group activities where in different tasks are given to F different kids of learners depending on the skills that they have. L Through these differentiated activities, learning becomes more fun and easier. Aside from that, learners become more confident and develop E higher self-esteem. They realize that they may not be smart enough in one aspect, but they are indeed smart enough in another aspect. C T I CHRISTEL ANN L. ESCALA O Teacher - I N
