Statement of the Problem

This study aims to identify the Effects of Note Taking to the Academic

Performance of the Students in Bartolome and Manuela Pañares Memorial

National High School for the School Year 2023-2024.

This specifically answers the following questions:

1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:

1.1 Age

1.2 Gender; and

1.3 Grade Level?

2. What are the common problems faced by students in terms of

2.1 concentration during discussion

2.2 listening endurance and

2.3 prioritizing information

3. What is the academic performance of the respondents?

4. What are the effects on the academic performance to students who are

able to do note taking?

5. What output can be proposed based on the results of the study?

Statement of the Problem

This phenomenological study on the Effect on the Academic

Performance of Students Raised by a Single Parent aims to determine the

Effects of Solo Parenting and whether it influences or changes academic

performance or behavior of the respondents in this study who are students at

Bartolome and Manuela Pañares Memorial National High School for the 2023-

2024 school year.

Furthermore, it seeks to answer the following questions:

1. How can the demographic profile of the respondents be described among the

rule of:

1.1 age;

1.2 gender; and,

1.3 overall average grade?

2. What are the problems faced by single parent students in terms of:

2.1 educational support;

2.2 financial capabilities; and,

2.3 academic performance?

3. What is the academic performance of students raised by single parents at

Bartolome and Manuela Pañares Memorial National High School?

4. What are the effects on the academic performance of students raised by single

parents?

5. Based on the findings, what intervention plan can be proposed?
