Task: How to fold a Dinner Napkin (Book Fold)

STEP STANDARD IMPORTANT REMINDERS

1. Prepare Materials  Fresh Dinner Napkin  Ensure that the Hands are
 Work Station clean and sanitized
 Ensure that the Dinner
Napkin is clean, dry and
well starched
 Ensure that the work
station is clean and
sanitized
2. Collect the Dinner  Collect dry, clean and well starched  Ensure that the Hem line
Napkin from the fresh Dinner Napkin should be facing upwards
Linen Trolley  Place the Dinner Napkin over the work  Ensure to discard any
Table stained or torn Dinner
Napkin
3. Prepare the first fold  Hold the bottom edge of the Dinner
Napkin
 Fold 1/3rd of the Dinner Napkin inward
4. Prepare the second fold  Hold the top Edge and fold it inward to  Ensure that the edges of
overlap the first fold the Dinner Napkin Fold are
not out of place and
overlap exactly over each
other
5. Prepare the third fold  Fold the left side of the Dinner Napkin
inward towards the centre
 Fold the right side of the Dinner Napkin
inward to meet the left fold at the centre
6. Prepare the final fold  Lift the left fold to overlap the right side
 Press gently to complete the Book fold
