    1. Get into groups of four. Each student should investigate the political changes in one of
    the following states in the post-war period. Use the bullet points to help guide your
    research.

    Germany

     Revolution in 1918
     Independent socialist republic in Bavaria
     Spartacist Rising January 1919
     Friedrich Ebert and the new Republic of Germany.

    Russia

     February revolution in 1917.


     October revolution in 1917
     Treaty of Brest Litvosk
     Civil War 1918-1921

    Austria-Hungary [Habsburg]

     Declaration of independence by Czechoslovakia


     Declaration of independence by south Slavs
     Declaration of independence by Hungary

     Regime of Mustapha Kemal
