Collar

Every row of the collar has a stitch count of 6.
Be sure to loosen your tension while working the collar (SLSTBLO)

1. SLST in the 2nd CH from the hook and down the row, CH 1 and turn.

1. HDC in the same ST, (working in the next ST and the CH2SP) make a DEC (HDC2TOG), CH (3, 4, 3, 5, 5, 7, 7, 8, 8),
jump to the next CH2SP skipping all the STS in between, (working in the CH2SP and the next ST) make a DEC
(HDC2TOG), HDC in every ST, stop when you have 1 ST remaining before the CH2SP, (working in the last ST before
the CH2SP and in the CH2SP) make a DEC, CH (3, 4, 5, 5, 7, 7, 8, 8), jump to the next CH2SP (skipping all the stitches
in between), working in the CH2SP and the next ST make a DEC , HDC in the remaining STS, join to the 1st with a
SLST, CH 1.

2. HDC in the same ST and in every ST of the round including the 2 sets of (3, 4, 3, 5, 5, 7, 7, 8, 8) CHs made at the
armpit, join to the 1st ST with a SLST, CH 1.

3. SK the 1st ST (the last ST of the round will be worked here instead), HDC in the next ST and in every ST of the
round, make the last ST of the round in the skipped 1st ST crossing over in front of the starting CH 1, join to the 1st ST
with a SLST, CH 2. (94, 102, 112, 126, 138, 154, 166, 180, 192) STS

REP and ALT between rounds 2 and 3 until you have a total of 17, 18, 18, 19, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 rows or until the last
row sits right above the most narrow part of your waist, CH 13 and proceed to the Waistband section of the pattern.

Waistband
Be sure to keep your tension a little loose while working the SLSTBLO
The SLSTs worked along the last round of the sweater DO NOT count as STs
When seaming the 1st row to the last row, be sure to keep the seam WSO

1. SLST in the 2nd CH from the hook and down the row of CHs, SLST in the next 2 STS along the last round of the
sweater, turn to continue working on the waistband, DO NOT make a starting CH. 12 STS

2. SK the 2 SLSTs made along the last round of the sweater, SLSTBLO in the first ST of the waistband and down the
row, CH 1 and turn. 12 STS

3. SLSTBLO in the same ST and down the row, SLST in the next 2 STs along the last row of the sweater, turn to
continue working the waistband, DO NOT make a starting CH. 12STS

REP and ALT rows 2 & 3 until you have worked a row of SLSTBLO in every ST along the last round of the sweater (94,
102, 112, 126, 138, 154, 166, 180, 192) rows, join the 1st row to the last row with a SLST keeping the seam WSO. Cut
yarn and tie off. Continue to the Sleeve section of the pattern.

Sleeves
Starting CH does not count as a ST
Row repeats are worked the same as the body
If you would like to increase/ decrease the length, note that every 2 rounds = 1"

Join yarn to the (2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4) ST of the additional STS made in the armpit (between the CH2SP of the first row
of the body), CH 2.

1. HDC in the same ST and in the next (1, 2, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4), working in the CH2SP and the next ST make a DEC, HDC
in every ST stopping when you have 1 ST remaining before the next CH2SP, working in that ST and the CH2SP make a
DEC, continuing back to the armpit HDC in the remaining (1, 2, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4), join to the 1st ST with a SLST, CH 1.
(37, 38, 41, 43, 47, 53, 57, 62, 66) STS

2. SK the 1st ST (same ST as the starting CH), HDC in the next and in ever ST of the round, make your last HDC in the
skipped 1st ST by crossing over the starting CH, join to the 1st ST with a SLST, CH 2. (37, 38, 41, 43, 47, 53, 57, 62, 66)

Be sure to keep your tension slightly looser or increase your hook size by .5mm
Worked the same way as the Waistband
The 2 SLSTs worked in the sleeve to join the cuff DO NOT count as STS

1. SLST in the same ST and in the next 5 CHs, SLST in the next 2 STS of the sleeve, turn (DO NOT make a turning CH).
6 STS

2. SLSTBLO in the 6 STS of the cuff, CH 1 and turn.

3. SLSTBLO in the 6 STS of the cuff, SLST in the next 2 STS of the sleeve, turn (DO NOT make a turning CH). 6 STS

REP and ALT between rows 2 & 3 until you have one row of SLSTBLO for every ST of the sleeve. Row counts are (28, 29,
31, 32, 35, 35, 36, 38, 40). 6 STS

REP for other sleeve and cuff.

Weave in your ends.

Wear the sweater with the seam facing along the side of the back.
