Conversion of Fahrenheit to Celsius: °C = 5/9 (°F) -32
Example: The normal body temperature is 98.6°F. What is this temperature in °C?
Given: 98.6°F
Find: °C
Formula: °C = 5/9 (F) -32 or 5/9 = 0.56 (in decimal)
Solution: °C= 5/9 (98.6°F-32 ) or 0.56 (98.6 – 32)
