My Analysis
How do the school and the laboratory rooms in particular impact on the learning of the
students on going to school? What are your conclusions? (write your answers in the
space provided below with a minimum of 30 words, and maximum of 100 words
only).

Schools, along with their laboratory facilities, exert a substantial influence on the
learning journeys of students. The quality of education provided can be influenced by the
design and upkeep of these school facilities. School facilities, such as laboratories, play
a pivotal role in molding students' learning experiences. A meticulously planned and
adequately equipped laboratory can amplify student engagement, foster critical thinking,
and promote the development of practical skills. It is worth emphasizing, however, that
the impact of school facilities is just one facet of the broader educational landscape.
Effective teaching methods, teacher competence, curriculum design, and numerous other
factors also make substantial contributions to students' educational development.

Write a brief reflection of your feelings and insights from your observation experiences.
(write your answers in the blank space below with a maximum of 30 words per
number only).

My Reflection

1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed? Why?

Yes, based on my observations it's evident that many students require assistance
with reading, writing, spelling, and constructing sentences. I've noticed while checking
their paper works there are significant number of students struggle with spelling words
correctly and forming coherent sentences. As I want to create an enjoyable, cooperative
and interactive learning environment in the future I need to help them and it’s so fun
observing them being enthusiastic all day.

2. What kind of school is conducive to learning?

A school that fosters students' learning and provides an environment that is

conducive to effective education. It's a place where students can be authentic, safe, free
from disruptions, and maintain a clean atmosphere. This school aims to nurture students
to not only excel academically but also become better individuals and responsible
citizens, contributing positively to both the school and the broader society.

3. What kind of classroom is conducive to learning?

A conducive classroom for learning is one that provides an environment where

students can focus, engage, and actively participate in the learning process. It is where
students feel comfortable, motivated, and engaged, with teachers employing effective
teaching methods and creating a supportive and interactive environment for learning.
Teachers play a crucial role in cultivating such a classroom setting.

4. In the future, how you can accomplish your answer in number 3?

As a future educator to accomplish a conducive classroom for learning I will make

sure that the students will experience a non-threatening environment where students
actively ask questions, explore their interests, and take ownership of their learning,
promotes an engaging environment. The classroom should be equipped to accommodate
students with special needs, ensuring inclusivity.

5. Write your additional learning insights here.

School serves as the place where we acquire knowledge, values, cherished

memories, forge social bonds, and work on personal growth. To achieve positive results,
it's crucial for parents, teachers, and students to collaborate, ensuring that students are
enthusiastic and enjoy the learning process.

My Learning Artifacts
My Personal Illustration of an Effective School Environment
Competitive School Environment

In my view of an ideal and competitive school environment, I will prioritize the

mental, physical, and emotional well-being and readiness of students. I ensure that
students remain engaged in their classes and perceive the school as a safe haven.
Encouragement to consistently give their best is emphasized, along with motivation
through positive reinforcement and the use of encouraging language to create a
comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in the classroom.
ACTIVITY 2

Observing Bulletin Board Displays

An Observation Guide for BULLETIN BOARD DISPLAYS

Read the following statements carefully before you observe:

1. Observe a school and examine the board displays. How many boards do you
see?

2. Where are the display boards found? Are they in place where target viewers
can you see them?

3. What are the displays about? What images and colors do you see? How are
the pieces of information arranged?

4. What materials were used in making the displays? Are borders used?

5. Do you notice some errors? (Misspelled words, grammar, inconsistencies and

the like)

6. Are the messages clear and easily understood?

7. You may choose to take a photo of the display board (if allowed).
Based on the questions on the observation guide, write you observation report:

OBSERVATION REPORT
(Please paste pictures of the board display you observe here)
Name of the School Observed: Butuan Central Elementary School
Location of the School: A.D Curato St. Butuan City
Date of Observation:

As we explore the school premises, we can readily spot more than 15 bulletin
boards scattered throughout the school, ensuring their visibility to anyone visiting. These
bulletin boards serve as a platform for various important information, such as class
announcements, reminders, the school's vision and mission, a school map, activity
calendars, and enrollment details. The materials used for these bulletin boards typically
include tarpaulins, printed materials on bond paper, push pins, and Scotch tape, often
adorned with decorative borders. It's worth noting that the content on these boards is free
of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. The messages are clear and easily
comprehensible, providing answers to the inquiries of both parents and visitors. The
specific bulletin I've chosen is situated near the principal's office.
From among the bulletin board displays that you saw, pick one that you got more
interested in. Evaluate it using the evaluation form below.

audience? Why? Why not?

Yes, because the bulletin boards displayed a different designs, colors and
shapes that can easily attract the target audience which is the children.

2. Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to
understand? Why? Why not?

The language used was clear and simple because they have chosen the basic
English that can easily be understand of the target audience. However, the letters are
quite small in the distance so you have to move closer for you to read the bulletin.

3. What do you think was the purpose of the board display? Was it
effective? Why? Why not?

The purpose of the displayed board is to give announcement to all students

about the important details about the school and the requirements to have during the
enrollment. Therefore, it is effective due to the fact that new enrollees can easily be
aware of the protocol of the school.

4. What suggestions can you make?

I can suggest enhancing the bulletin board's visual appeal while maintaining clear
and legible lettering to ensure that it is easily accessible and understandable to everyone.
MY PROPOSED BULLETIN BOARD DISPLAY

Theme: MONTHLY CELEBRATION OF OCTOBER

Bulletin Board Title: MONTHLY CELEBRATION

Purpose:
The purpose of this is to keep the students updated about the events of the month of
October.

Objectives:
To inform everyone about upcoming events on the display bulletin board and ensure
they stay informed about any holidays on those specific days.
Best feature of my proposed bulletin enrichment:
The bulletin board should feature a combination of dark and light colors with a well-
structured layout. The chosen font should be easily legible even from a distance.
Content Resources (Name each needed resource and give each a brief
description)
To create the bulletin, I intend to utilize an online editing application like Canva to
enhance its visual appeal and overall attractiveness. Additionally, I plan to scour the
internet for additional information regarding content and templates to further enrich the
bulletin's quality.
Materials for aesthetic enhancement:
For this purpose, materials such as tarpaulin, tape, wooden borders, and seeking
assistance to craft this bulletin could be considered.

Based on your suggestions, make your own bulletin board display lay-out. You may
present your output through any of the following:

1. A hand-made drawing or layout

2. An electronic drawing, illustration or layout
3. A collage
