INTRODUCTION

THE BUSINESS

Pandesal is a type of bread roll that is commonly found in the Philippines. It is made from

wheat flour, yeast, sugar, salt and is typically shaped into small, round rolls. Pandesal is often

eaten as a breakfast food and is often served with butter, jam, or cheese. It is the Spanish term for

‘Salt Bread’ since the name originated during 16-century Spanish colonial era. It is a common

staple food in the Philippines and is available in most bakeries and supermarket. Most bakeries

all over the country from small background establishments to industrial bakeries produce and sell

this bread.

We name it Pande Macho because word Pande means Pandesal and we added Macho

because densely packed with sisig and other flavor. This staple food has become part of the

typical Filipino breakfast as a substitute for rice. Four pieces of pandesal are equivalent to one

cup of rice but because of its new flavor, it new flavors and it can be included with dinner as

dessert or anytime snack of the day.
