At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
 identify the meaning of reading, process of reading as well as the reading strategies ;
 develop a positive attitude towards the importance of reading especially to the students;
and
 Make use of the understandings about reading through a role play, jinggle and poem
writing.

E. APPLICATION

Activities: Role Play, Jingle & Poem Writing

Mechanics:

 Participants will be divided into three groups.


 Each group will choose an activity to perform based on the options given.

GROUP 1

 Perform a role play that showcases different reading strategies.

GROUP 2
 Create a jingle that highlights the various processes involved in reading.

GROUP 3

 Compose a poem that emphasizes the significance of reading.
