I. Introduction
As the world continuously battles the pandemic, our country was immediately able to ascertain that the challenge brought by
COVID 19 will not come to an end soon. Government agencies like the Department of Education once again had proven its
strength in conquering these challenges. To ensure that no Filipino learner will be left behind in terms of education, the
Department of Education extended the use of multiple learning delivery modalities to cater the different needs of the learners.
In response to the challenges and embracing learning opportunity brought by this pandemic, Tarlac National High School
Annex had launched Project LIVE (Learn, Innovate, Visualize and Entertain) on April 16, 2021 through our owned Radio Station
DWRR 88.9 FM Radyo Mayap – Sulong Kabiyasnan and in our school’s official facebook page. It was made possible with great
achievement because of the valuable contribution given by our School Principal – Dr. Rowena B. Ramos, Head Teacher –
Rommel S. Carreon, Master Teachers, members of RBI Team, Teacher Broadcasters and Scriptwriters, Barangay Captain Jose

and Dr. Marylyn Pascua, Public Schools District Supervisor.
Project LIVE (Learn, Innovate, Visualize and Entertain) provided more opportunities for the learners who are greatly challenge
in learning independently, gained more knowledge, developed their skills, values and attitudes needed to improve their quality of
life. Transformed learners from dependent to independent learners, Improved learners’ performance base on school’s Achievement
Rate result from 83% (First Quarter) to 87% (Fourth Quarter). It also opened for teachers to showcase their skills in broadcasting.
The Project aimed to: Implement Radio Broadcasting Instruction as a supplemental mode of teaching; Introduced the use of Radio
Broadcasting Instruction among teachers and learners; Utilized the use of Radio Broadcasting in teaching–learning process to meet
learning objectives; Bridge the Learning Gaps of the students in Tarlac National High School Annex through Radio Base
Instruction; Provides more learning opportunities to learners through broadcast of lessons; Provide more opportunity for teachers
to expand instruction.
Highly skilled scriptwriters and broadcasters participated in the school-based orientation and training on radio-based
instruction held virtually at Tarlac National High School – Annex on April 7, 2021. Teacher broadcasters from the Division of
Tarlac Province Mr. Robert V. Pring and Ms Ma. Ada Dela Rosa shared their expertise in teaching lessons through radio
broadcast.
DWRR 88.9 Radyo Mayap successfully aired its first radio based-instruction on April 23, 2021 broadcasting lessons from
different learning areas. Learners were also given an opportunity to showcase their talents through the segment called Ayos Ka
Bata – Talinhayag (Talino ay Ipahayag). More lessons from Grades 7, 10, 11 & 12 have been aired as a supplemental learning
modality, magnifying learners’ ability to learn independently.

Progress in the learners’ learning is evident, data shows an increase in the achievement rate per learning area. Radio-based
instruction was used as supplemental mode of teaching during fourth grading period.
At the end of the implementation of PROJECT LIVE for the school year 2020 – 2021, learners have shown:
1. Improvement in their performance in every learning area based on the Achievement Rate result from 83% in the first
grading period to 87% in the fourth grading period.
2. Transformation of the learners from independent to dependent learners.
3. Enhancement in their knowledge, skills and behavior particularly under the distance learning modality.
