I write to offer you a place at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, for the;

Academic Year : 2021/2022

Program of Study : BACHELOR OF MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE

Duration : 2½ Academic years

Reporting Date : January 5th, 2022

This offer of admission lapses automatically if not taken up within two weeks from the beginning of the
academic year.

You will be required to pay a non-refundable tuition fees deposit of Shs. 50,000= before you pick your
admission letter as confirmation that you will take your place. Please note that this is part of your tuition fees.

Registration
This is a provisional offer made on the basis of the statement of your qualifications as presented on your
application form. It is subject to the satisfactory verification of those qualifications by the office of the
Academic Registrar at the time of registration.

For the purpose of registration, you must bring with you the following:-

(a). Original Uganda Certificate of Education (both certificate and result slip) or equivalent plus three
copies of it
(b). Original Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (both certificate and result slip) or equivalent
plus three certified copies of it.
(c). Original Diploma Transcript and Certificate or equivalent plus three certified copies of it.
(d). Original Certificate of Registration with Allied Health Professionals’ Council plus three certified
copies of it.
(e). Three (3) coloured passport size photographs showing your current likeness (head and shoulders).
(f). An Identity Card from the previous school/college.
(g). An original Birth Certificate plus a copy of it.
(h). All International students shall be required to provide a comprehensive Life Assurance Cover for
the duration of their study before registration.
Cases of impersonation or falsification of documents whenever discovered, either at registration or
afterwards, will lead to automatic cancellation of admission.

Terms
The degree is only awarded upon completion of all required courses. Studies will be undertaken on a fulltime
basis with a minimum of three academic years and a maximum of five academic years.

Fees
You will be required to pay the following fees:

Payments to Mbarara University of Science and Technology may be in form of cash or Bank Draft payable
to Uganda Revenue Authority account. Please see Joining Instructions for account details and instruction of
how to pay.

The University also charges for other services. The details can be got from the fees policy.

On completion, you will be required to pay for the following whose fees will be communicated to you at the
end of your programme:

1. Graduation fee
2. Certificate fee
3. Convocation fee
4. Transcript fee
5. Gown

MUST offers blended learning, it is therefore advisable for every student to have a laptop, tablet or
smartphone.

Enclosed are Joining Instructions to enable you know more about the University. You are requested to study
the contents carefully and comply with whatever instructions therein.
