What are several themes you found across your literature summaries?
Cooperative learning promotes inclusivity, peer support, equal participation, diverse perspectives, and increased engagement as
students collaborate and support one another’s learning. This promotes classroom teamwork, mutual support, and a community of
warmth and acceptance to ensure equity. Teachers must be intentional with their guidance and instructional strategies to facilitate
cooperative learning to ensure they are supporting all of the student’s needs. Ongoing assessments and adjustments are needed
to ensure an effective cooperative learning environment. Accountability is necessary for the teacher as well as the students to
develop and promote the effectiveness of cooperative learning and contributions in the classroom.

What are some of your ideas for how to utilize what you learned from your literature in your classroom? How will this promote
equity for your students?
I will definitely be using cooperative learning strategies in my classroom. Utilizing Kagan strategies such as think-pair-share, round
robin, jigsaw, and mix-pair-share encourages student engagement in the classroom utilizing cooperative learning. These strategies
are effective skills to promote the development of students and their classroom community. Encouraging the use of groups
enriches learning for diverse students and develops their engagement with their classmates in an equitable manner.

I have not revised my wondering related to cooperative learning. Cooperative learning is an important technique used in the
classroom to promote equity, learning, and building classroom community which benefits all types of learners.
