Topic: My weekend. (page 14, SB FF3 – Unit 2) Presented by: Mr.Nguyen Dai Tung
Length: 25 minutes.
Language Skills: Vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, TESOL Methodology: TPR, natural approach, lexical approach,
listening, reading
- Remember and know how to use the vocabulary to describe the activity they do at the weekend.
Resources: flashcards, sticky balls, board, blu-tack, copies of lesson 1 paper, text book, laptop, speaker
Stage Activity Description Resource Timing Teacher
Task 1 Activity 1: Who ❖ The teacher divided the class into two teams. 14 Flashcards 5 minutes
slap faster ❖ The teacher separates the board into two side
and stick 7 flash cards corresponding with 7
newwords on each side of the board
❖ The members of each team turn their back to
the board
❖ The teacher will call out the first person of
each team and tell them the word the teacher
want them to describe
❖ The first student will return to their position, Blue tack
ask the second one of their team to turn back
and describe the word by action to them and
so on
❖ The final person of each team after seeing the
action will run to the board and slap to the
picture corresponding with the word the
teacher mentioned
❖ The winner will be the team who slap on the
right picture faster.
❖ Vocabulary:
• Read comic
• Do gymnastics
• Play chess
• Fish
• Play basketball
• Take photos
• Play volleyball
Activity 2: Listen ❖ Teacher give students copy of the detail Coppy of lesson 6 min
and read related to the audio one
❖ Teacher let students listen to the audio one
time
❖ Teacher let students listen to the audio once
again, but listen to one sentence and then let
the student repeat again
❖ Teacher let student work in pair to read the
whole dialogues, teacher will move around
and fix the pronunciation and spelling of
students
❖ Teacher ask random pair of student to read
loud the dialogue and ask other student to find
out the mistake in spelling or pronunciation
than fix it.
