ACTIVITY STEPS TECHNICAL METHODS OF APPLICATIONS / WORKS DESCRIPTION

1. Setting out  Transfers the level to every column surfaces from the TBM.

 Site supervisor make sure that the level of each beam is placing to the correct level according to the construction drawing.

2. Installing Formwork  Installing all of the formwork with support by timber poles or scaffolding in proper strutting.

 Site supervisors make sure the formworks of each beam edge of the slab and drops are installed according to
gridline position and level according to the construction drawing.

 Site supervisors to ensure that the formwork shall be sufficiently rigid to maintain the forms in the correct position, shape
and dimension.
 Site supervisor to check the vertically of formwork by using spirit level.

 Site supervisor to ensure the formwork strutting and bracing are adequate.

 Internal surface of the formwork to be coated with non-stained from oil that shall not affect the plastering or pointing bonding at
the later stage.

3. Installing Rebar  Site supervisor check the Mill certificate from the supplier during the material delivery to site.

 Prefabricated of column steel rebar cages according to the construction drawing.

 Go through Reinforced Concrete Inspection Form Checklist to ensure compliance with QA/QC requirement.

 Site supervisor to ensure the rebar are be free from dirt and rust.

4. Concreting  Go through Reinforced Concrete Inspection Form Checklist to ensure it compliance with QA/QC requirement.

 Ready mixed concrete grade 25 shall be used to the specification which is approved by Consultant Engineer.

 Concreting which done by hoisting method is using 25 tons mobile crane and concrete chute.

 Concreting which done by pumping method is using the mobile pump truck.

 Site supervisor to ensure that concrete slump is in compliance approved Mix design.

 Poker and vibrators to be carry by skilled concretor to ensure proper compaction. ( 2 in use and 2 standby with size 50mm)

 Site supervisor to ensure sufficient lighting for concreting at night.

 To provide canvass to cover fleshly placed concrete if it rains suddenly.

 Site supervisor to check construction joint are at one third of the beam length.

 Site supervisor ensure the concrete floor surface is roughening by broom brush.


5. Normal Curing  Site supervisor to ensure the exposed surface should be cured after 8 hours using water.

 Dismantling of formwork shall be carried out as per Table 11 or obtained approval from the consultant Engineer
7. Dismantling of Formwork
 Site supervisor to check any cracks or honeycombs of the concrete. If any then apply for approval of method rectification.
