Sampling Procedure and Sample of the Study

Activity 2

The researcher of this study will employ to the senior high

school Notre Dame Village National High School particularly from

Humanities and Social Sciences grade 12.

In getting the number of respondents, the researcher will employe

the sample size calculator by Raosoft, Inc. of which two hundred two (202)

students are used as source of data as shown on the above-table.

Sampling Strategy

A Simple random sampling technique will be applied in this study.

This ensures that every grade 12-HUMSS students in the school has an

equal chance of being included in the sample. The researcher will

randomly select respondents using a randomization method and the

sample size will be determined based on the desired quota.

RESEARCH DESIGN

Chapter III

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the research design, locale of the study, respondents, Sampling
technique, instrumentation, validity and reliability of the instruments, data gathering
procedures and statistical analysis.

Research Design

This study will use correlational research design as it aims to assess the relationship
of the self-confidence and the performance of Grade 12-HUMSS Students in reporting during
the school year 2023 2024.

In scientific research, Cresswell (2012) defined a correlation research design as a

statistical test to determine the tendency or pattern for two (or more) variables or two sets of
data to vary consistently.
