My Learning Artifact(s)

Write an essay about your MENTOR in life? What pieces of advice were given by your mentor to help
you develop your personal and professional competencies?

My mentor in the first place is not new to me she is actual a Dep-

Ed teacher when I was also a student of Balongating National
High School but she’s not my adviser nor a subject teacher
however, she is my coach before in taekwondo when I was a
player since elementary up until college. When I was assigned in
Balongating National High School I was expected that she will be
my Cooperating teacher and I was not mistaken because she is
also my Cooperating in my field study. Consequently, we are not
much closed but we do have shared same experienced before
which is I guess a way to build a good relation with my
cooperating teacher. Through this internship me and my
cooperating teacher had many conversations most especially,
personal and professional matters. She always advises me on
taking it easy specially the behavior of the students that needs
really to be disciplined. She also instructed on how to inculcate
and apply some techniques in teaching like using ICT tool or
create a differentiated activity for the students for them to explore
and discover on their own. Every time she will observe me on the
class, she will always say that I shouldn’t feel hesitant to handle
class and just think that she is not around. Lastly, we always put
our hearts and minds on our profession we choose.

Understandings
A Learning Resource Center is a school facility which contains teaching-learning materials which
the teachers use to enrich classroom instruction.
The Learning Resource Center contains print, non-print and electronic materials. The purpose of
this facility is to enhance the learning experiences of the learner and the teachers in any educational
sector. Each teacher needs a wide range of instructional tools to support and enrich student learnings.
Teachers use a wide array of teaching resources to make the instructional process more stimulating
and exciting.
The resource materials used are aligned with the curriculum to ensure that outcomes are
attained. The Learning Resource Center has instructional space to encourage students to perform some
activities and to make learning more meaningful.
