Report on NSS Camp to Village Hakimpur: "Gender Equality" by NSS Volunteers
Introduction
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a youth-oriented program dedicated to fostering social
responsibility and community engagement among students. A recent NSS camp organized by
[Your University/Institution] took place in Village Hakimpur with the aim of addressing the
crucial theme of "Gender Equality." The camp was led by the NSS Program Coordinator,
[Coordinator's Name], and saw enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers.

Date and Venue

The NSS camp to Village Hakimpur took place on 3 rd Octuber 2023. The camp aimed to
address the issues of gender equality and promote awareness and understanding of the same
within the rural community.

Programme Schedule
Departure Day
10:45 AM: NSS unit and volunteers assembled at the ground floor of the Faculty of
Engineering (FoE) building. This assembly was for attendance and interaction, allowing the
participants to familiarize themselves with one another.
10:55 AM: The Principal of the Faculty of Engineering addressed all the NSS members and
volunteers. The Principal's speech emphasized the significance of community service and
particularly gender equality in this context.
11:05 AM: The NSS volunteers departed for Village Hakimpur, fully prepared for a day of
engaging and educational activities.
Camp Activities
Upon arrival in Village Hakimpur, the following activities were conducted:

11:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Orientation session: The NSS volunteers were introduced to the
community and initiated discussions on gender equality, its importance, and the objectives for
the day.
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Street Play: NSS volunteers performed a street play on gender equality
to engage and educate the community.
2:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Interactive Workshops: Workshops were conducted to raise awareness
and educate the community about the importance of gender equality, equal opportunities, and
respect for all genders.
3:30 PM Plantation was done to commemorated this event at village site.
Conclusion
The one-day NSS camp, "Gender Equality" under Social Initiative initiative, was a significant
success. The focused efforts of the NSS volunteers, along with the guidance of Dr. Abhinav
Saxena, the Programme Coordinator, and the motivating address by the Principal Dr R.K
Dwivedi.

While this was a short program, it was highly impactful in creating awareness about the
importance of “Gender equality”. The NSS unit at FOE , Teerthanker Mahaveer University
remains committed to its mission of nurturing socially responsible citizens and will continue
to organize such meaningful initiatives in the future.
