Detailed LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH G-3

(Appreciation Method / Lesson)

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, 85% of the students should be able to:
a. classify the main idea of the given poem;
b. write the important information of the poem;
c. Recite a line or stanza from the poem;

II . SUBJECT MATTER: No Other Mom; Reference: IE FOR EC Integrated English for Effective
Communication ( K to 12Curriculum complaint (English G-3); Teaching Devices: Pictures, charts, cut-out
pictures, chalkboard / white board.

A. Lesson Proper Activities
 Our lesson for today is about a poem entitled “No
Other Mom. In order for you to understand the
poem, you are going to study a new set of words.

1. Unlocking of Difficulties

 Read the words and get to know your mother up (The pupils will read orally by the given
close and personal by list of her favorites in the words and its by a list of all Mothers favorite)

1. Foods – sea food, soup, vegetable

2. Place – Paris, London, france

3. Fruit– water melon, apple, mangoe

4. Cake – chocolate, strawberry cake

5. Flowers – Tulip, rose

 Describe your mother in your own sentences. (Students give their own similar sentences
orally)

Pupil B: My mother is strict parents.

Pupil C: My mother is very nice.

Pupil D: My mother is beautiful.

Pupil E: My Mother is a wise spender of


money.

Pupil F: My mother is thoughtful.

Pupil G: My mother is kind for everyone.

2. Motivation: (Expected answer of pupils)

 What makes mothers happy? Pupils’ answer: to have a happy family.

 What makes your mom happy? Pupils’ answer: show her that you care about
her feelings by asking her questions about
herself.

 Who’s the best for you? Pupils’ answer: My parents gave me life.

3. Motive Question: (Answer this question after you have read
