Topic: Should Cigarettes be Banned?
I strongly believe that cigarettes should be forbidden for three compelling reasons. Firstly, smoking

cigarettes can cause a wide range of serious health problems including lung cancer, heart disease, and

respiratory issues. The harmful chemicals found in cigarette smoke can cause irreversible harm to the lungs

and other vital organs. Secondly, the negative impact of cigarettes extends beyond the smokers themselves

which can affect those who are exposed to secondhand smoke. Children are highly vulnerable to the

detrimental effects of secondhand smoke which can increase their risk of respiratory infections and other

health complications. Thirdly, cigarettes should be prohibited because they have a negative impact on the

environment. Cigarette butts are the most commonly littered item worldwide, and they pose a significant

environmental hazard. The filters in cigarettes are made of a type of plastic which takes several years to

decompose, which can harm and pollute the environment. In conclusion, banning cigarettes is necessary to

prioritize the health and safety of individuals as well as keep our environment clean.

Topic: My Biggest Regret in My Life
I had an experience that has become my biggest regret in life during the bridging course last year. It

all started when I met a cute guy who was in the same class and the same age as me. We became very close to

each other since I was the only one that he talked to in class. Everything was good until one day everything

took an unexpected turn as he gathered all his courage to confess his feelings towards me. The feeling that he

had for me was more than just a friend. I never, in my wildest dreams, thought that he would have a crush on

me all this time. To be frank, I couldn't help but also have a feeling for him too, but I didn't think I deserved

him because I felt so insecure about how I looked, which led me to reject him. I felt a lot of regret and guilt

about that decision because I knew he wasn't the kind of guy who worried about appearances. I felt it would

be humiliating for us to be together since he's so handsome and I'm just the ugly duckling. After that, he

dropped out of school, and we lost touch with each other. Since that moment. I started to realized that he

chose me as me; he didn't choose me because of my look, and why I wouldn't open my heart to accept him.

Sadly, by the time I realized this, it was already too late. This regret had been a constant reminder for me to

accept myself and challenge the negative beliefs I had about myself. In conclusion, despite the pain of this

regret, I'm holding onto hope that it will push me towards a journey of self-discovery and a better

understanding of my own worth.

REFLECTION

Throughout these assignments, I have gained valuable insights and skills in various types of

paragraph writing. Firstly, I learned that it's important to be clear and precise when sharing information.

Different types of paragraphs require different approaches, and practicing them helped me improve my

ability to explain things clearly, describe scenes vividly, express my opinions, and tell engaging stories.

However, the assignments also had their challenges. One of the difficult parts was making sure my ideas

flowed smoothly and each paragraph made sense. It required careful organization and the use of transition

words to guide the reader from one point to another. Describing things concisely was also hard, especially

when I had to create vivid images with words. For example, in descriptive and narrative paragraphs where

vivid imagery and engaging storytelling were crucial. In contrast, some aspects of the assignment were easy.

Expressing personal opinions felt relatively easier, as I could draw from my own thoughts and experiences.

For instance, in an opinion paragraph, I could express my own point of view over the topic that I wanted to

talk about, which made it easier for me to write and to go with the topic. Additionally, if I could do the

assignments again, I would work on using more varied words and sentence structures. This would make my

writing more interesting. I would also spend more time editing to make sure my paragraphs were polished

and error-free. These assignments taught me skills that will help me in my future studies. Being able to write

clear paragraphs is important in all subjects. It also helped me think critically and present information in a

logical way. In conclusion, these assignments will help me succeed in my academic work and communicate

my thoughts effectively in writing.
