PHILIPPINE TOURISM, GEOGRAPHY AND CULTURE

INSTITUTION INFORMATION

8. Course Description This course presents comprehensive coverage of the
major tourism destinations in the Philippines. Major
discussions will be on political structures and subdivisions,
geographical characteristics, major attractions,
gastronomy, culture and traditions of the various regions
of the country leading to the realization of the potentials of
a sustainable Tourism industry of the Philippines.
Students will also have a comprehensive knowledge
about the mechanism, logistics, operations, and
management of the tourism network system in the
Philippines with its inherent physical and cultural
resources as seen in the various provinces in the country.
This course involves an actual visit to selected attractions
and destinations in the Philippines

The performance of students will be assessed and evaluated based on the following:
20% Prelim + 20% Midterm + 20% + Prefinal Term + 50% Final Term = 100% (Overall Final)

Course Policies

To pass the course, the student must submit all the needed requirements and must get a rating of
at least 50%.
Etiquette for Face-to-face Classes:
• Attend scheduled classes on time.
• You should dress appropriately or in accordance with industry standards.
• Proper hair grooming for both men and women must be properly adhered to.
• Maintain silence and attentiveness during class discussions. If you want to talk, raise
your hand or wait your turn.
• Keep cell phones on silent mode or turn them off.
• Take part in class discussions and activities.

• Check emails and group chat for meeting invitations/codes on a regular basis.
• Attend scheduled classes on time.
• Keep your voice down unless you have the floor.
• If you want to talk, raise your hand remotely or wait your time.
• For attendance purposes, turn on your video.
• You should not only act like you're in class, but you should also dress like it.
• Keep distracting backdrops and noises to a minimum.

result in a 0% on content.
• Duplicate submission is also an academic integrity violation.
