Rationale
Taught in conjunction with other 3 courses in professional MBA, this course is offered to get
a view of the supply chain from a strategic point of view (outside manufacturing entity and
excluding international SCM). The course will enhance the knowledge of the participants on
board spectrum of logistics Management, sustainability issues and SCM technology. The
design of a logistics system is critically linked to the objectives of the supply chain. The main
goal of this course is to understand how Strategic Issues impact the firm’s performance and
the entire supply chain. Emphasis will be given to real-world examples of strategic supply
chain issues.
Objectives
This course focuses on both strategic and supply chain management, including supply chain
evaluation, technology, SRM, CRM, warehouse, transportation, best practices, and reverse
logistics issues.
