Differentiating Linear Inequalities in Two Variables from

Linear Equations in Two Variables

Inequality is a mathematical statement where one expression is not
equal to another while equation indicated the value of both
mathematics expressions are equal.
Linear Equation in two variables is a mathematical sentence that uses the
equality symbol or equal sign (=)
Examples: x + y = 2, 2y = x – 7
Linear Inequality in two variables is a mathematical sentence that uses the
symbols of inequality ( > , < , ≥, ≤ ≠ )
Linear Inequality can be written in one of the following forms:
Examples: Ax + By > C, Ax + By < C,
Ax + By ≥ C, Ax + By ≤ C, Ax + By ≠ C
Where A,B and C are real numbers and A and B are both not equal to zero.
